What is cosplay? Well, it's a wonderful thing, trust me. Cosplay is when someone dresses up as their favorite manga/anime/video game or even T.V. show character. You can make your own costume, create your own props, compete against other cosplayers and go to fun conventions where you can show off your costume and hang out with other cosplayers. Cosplay is very big in Japan, where anime/manga is such a common everyday occurance. You can find manga there like newspapers here, discarded on the subway and around every corner. Here in the U.S. cosplay is just starting to catch on. I started a few years ago and have entered some competitions. I have also made a lot of costumes for both me and my son. I have many more planned for this year.
